Thanks to the proximity of several renowned educational and research institutes, such as Wageningen University & Research, companies at the World Food Center can draw on a continuous supply of young talent and experienced professionals.

The region is home to more than 20,000 WO and HBO students and 85% of Dutch research capacity in agrifood is within a 30 km distance.

Education in the region

Wageningen University & Research is the central knowledge carrier in the region and is globally regarded as the best university in the field of agrifood. In addition, there are numerous HBO and MBO courses in the vicinity that offer relevant food-related courses: such as the Christian University of Applied Sciences Ede, Aeres University of Applied Sciences (Wageningen), Aeres MBO, the Arnhem-Nijmegen University of Applied Sciences, the HAS (Den Bosch) and ROCA12 (Ede and Veenendaal).
