The Curation Process

Deadline for submission of proposals: 30 August
Hurry up and submit your proposal now.

Selection of proposals: 6 September
We will internally make a first selection and explore where we can possibly merge sessions to avoid duplication of sessions and allow for as many organisations to co-host a session. By the 20th of August, we will let you know whether your session has been selected or merged.

Refined proposal: 20 September
You will have time to refine and complete your proposal at the beginning of September. By the 10th of September, we would like to receive a further developed proposal. By the end of September, we aim to have the largest part of our programme online. We will then also communicate your room and timeslot allocation and send you a form to indicate your logistical needs and we will ask you to inform us about your interactive format and script.

Speakers list: 20 September
The final deadline for the session descriptions, including the speakers and possible moderators.

Logistics: 20 September
The deadline for your logistics requests and your interactive format.

16 Oktober: showtime!

Important to Know

Engage
We put the ‘act’ in impact. We therefore encourage you to have an interactive format that stimulates participants to engage in the conversation.

It’s personal
We highly value meeting each other in person. As such, we don’t allow hybrid formats.

You’re in charge
When you (co-)host a session, you are in charge of the organisation, moderation/facilitation, and session script. There are no moderators or facilitators from our end.

Rooms & Formats

During Food Fest we have three type of sessions and rooms. In the call for proposals, you can indicate your first preference. We will do our utmost best to accommodate your preferences. The team will share their selection of the sessions on August 20 and inform you about your room and time slot allocation in early September.

Interactive Workshops – 75 mins | 30-40 people
These are smaller rooms that host up to 40 people. The rooms are flexible in setup and all have projectors or screens. We have several rooms available and can thus host multiple sessions.

Interactive Plenary Session – 75 mins | 85-120 people
The main stage can host up to 120 people. Although it is a main stage, we encourage you to create an interactive format that actively engages the audience. We will only have a few spots available.

Interactive Community dialogue – 2 rounds of 30 mins | 8-10 people
During this day, we will also offer smaller community dialogues or short teaser workshops with the purpose of engaging in mini-workshop or a dialogue on specific topics under the table hosts’ expertise or interest with 8 to 10 guests.
